Andy Ellwood is an Executive Coach based in NYC on Zoom and serves coaching partners worldwide. Andy works with entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and corporate executives to tackle the lonely challenges of leadership, the brutal process of fundraising, and the unknowns that come with unbridled growth as well as untold defeat. Andy wants to have the conversations that innovators and leaders can’t have with anyone else.
Andy is a recovering founder having invested over a decade into launching, growing, and selling startups himself. He first led partnerships and sales for companies that would be acquired by Google (Waze) and Facebook (Gowalla). Andy then went on to be a part of founding three companies over the next decade. These experiences were met with mixed results but unlocked incredible insights that Andy uses to serve his clients now.
Curiosity is Andy’s superpower and he frequently will ask one more question and hold space for the thing that everyone is thinking but no one is willing to say. The uncomfortable moments are often where the truth is hiding and Andy strives to create that space in every coaching session or company offsite he co-creates with his clients and their teams.
When not coaching or writing about innovation and leadership, Andy can be found entertaining a table of the world’s most interesting people somewhere in New York City or chasing the best local cuisine somewhere around the world with his wife Maddie or taking a long walk in the West Village with their 11-year-old rescue dog Hudson.
