Homogenized Society

In become a polite and civilized society, I believe that, for the most part, we have also become passive and completely passionless. When things go wrong, authorities and governments are out of line, and the things that we hold dear are challenged, there is nothing more than a few polite emails and carefully crafted retorts by the "leaders" of the opposition.
When was the last time that you (or I) told some one off? When was the last time you made the person across the table from you or on the other end of the line uncomfortable with your honesty and out right disagreement with their opinion? I am going to venture a guess that it was not recently enough.

Just because we are civilized doesn't mean that we are all homogenized.
