Oh the Places
It is that time of year again. The time of year that for the first 22 years of my life meant this is the end of what I've been doing and the beginning of something new. It is Graduation season. If you haven't sent your first batch of clever "Congrats!" cards, I am sure that you will be doing so soon. I know that I have my fair share that need to be purchased, personalized, and overnighted.
As a public service to those of you that no doubt will be looking for some impressive words to inspire the graduates you love, I thought that I'd put together some of my favorite quotes that I would imagine will look really profound on the cards that you and I will be mailing out in the days and weeks ahead. In case you're at a loss for an inspirational way to say, "Good luck with whatever it is that you're actually going to do with you life now," here are a couple of different ways that some famous people captured that basic sentiment:
"Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle." - Abraham Lincoln
"We all have different desires and needs, but if we don't discover what we want from ourselves and what we stand for, we will live passively and unfulfilled." - Bill Watterson
"Success is not final and failure is not fatal - it is the courage to continue that counts." - Sir Winston Churchill
"When you stop taking chances, you'll stay where you sit. You won't live any longer, but it'll feel like it." - Bono
"Well done is better than well said." - Benjamin Franklin
"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you." - Jesus
"You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own and you know what you know, and you are the one who'll decide where to go!" - Dr. Suess
